Pool, Garden and Terraces

An aquamarine pool overlooking the lake, landscaped with natural local stone and a waterfall cascade. The secluded pool is for the exclusive use of the guests staying in the cottages.

Refreshments are available from our eye catching recycled steel cooler modelled on a traditional VW camper.

The pool is open seasonally from April to October. Pool towels are provided.

The landscaped garden areas are designed with both sunny and shaded areas for guests to relax and unwind.  Enjoy with ‘al fresco’ dining or a glass of something refreshing and take in the 360° of uninterrupted views. Lounge by the pool on one of our comfortable sun beds, or if you are feeling more energetic, take a stroll along the old mule paths through the olive groves beyond.

Several terraces adorned with garden furniture for seating and outdoor dining in which to enjoy the serenity of the setting. Spacious areas are swathed by banks of pretty shrubs and flowers. Lavender, rosemary and jasmine grow in abundance and release the most intoxicating smells.  The scent from the citrus blossom is heavenly when in season. Grape vines sprawl across the courtyard pergola and our large fig tree produces the most amazing fig chutney in the autumn.  The courtyard is ablaze with colour from the mass of geraniums and various flora. We would of course be remiss if we were not to mention the abundance of olive trees that are harvested late in the winter and provide us with cooking oil for the year.

The gardens in Southern Spain are best enjoyed in Spring, that said, during Summer, Autumn or Winter, there is still plenty to enjoy.  The majority of the plants here are drought friendly and have been designed to provide respite from such warm temperatures as prevail during the hot and dry summer months.

In the warmer months, dine al fresco in our delightful courtyard, or on the terrace – the choice is entirely yours.  For those cosy nights in the cooler months, what could be better than being wrapped up with a hot toddy in hand, watching the stars above through the flickering flames of the fire pit.
